Quincy is going to give you much better Chinese-style or Vietnamese-style noodle soups. There are good ramen places in Boston, just not in Quincy. I know some people will disagree, but I think Hakata Ramen is pretty bad (and this is coming from someone who has spent a significant amount of time in Fukuoka and considers Hakata style to be the best ramen). In general, you’re not going to find decent Japanese food or Korean food here. We also have some other south Asian and southeast Asian options, too. If you like that, we have a ton of great options (Saigon, Dagu, Big Fun, Winsor, East Ocean, South Garden, Jinye, just to name a few).

Quincy leans heavily toward southern Chinese, Hong Kong, and Vietnamese food. If you are more heat tolerant or you live in a more temperate apartment, you might be fine without it.

We live in an apartment with giant windows that gets sun all day and immediately heats up like a sauna, so we keep our AC at 72 and it kicks on all the time. Trader Joes is in Hingham and Wegmans isnt far. Star Market has come a long way and is nice now. North Quincy Stop and Shop is better than Southern Artery. Tonys has great fried clams with beer and a view, but if you want good fast seafood try The Lobster Stop at the Fore River Bridge.īurkes Seafood also has great takeway seafood. Nicks Pizza and subs has great pizza and subs, but if you want a great sandwich, go to the Fruit Basket. Granite St Cafe has the best Irish Breakfast.Īlumni has the best bar pizza, followed by Coops.īravo has the best regular pizza, though you should get the sicilin Emily pizza. Idle Hour has the best cocktails in town. Boba shop going in next door will open soon. Theres a new hotpot place on Billings Rd, apparently they have all you can eat.Ĭountryside has good pho, but I also like pho pasteur. Try the new Banh Mi shop on hancock near KFC.
